"Scheduling app" covers three different jobs. Many people install the wrong kind first, so it is worth being clear.

How to choose a scheduling app: a checklist
Before you compare prices, answer these. They will cut the list from twenty apps to two.
- Which calendar do you live in? The app must read your busy times from it, or you will get double-booked. SayBriefly connects to Google Calendar only.
- Do bookers need to pay? If yes, you need payments built in. SayBriefly does not take payments.
- One person or a team? Round robin and routing matter for sales teams. For one person they are noise.
- Do you need to screen people? A form before the calendar keeps unqualified bookings off your week.
- What happens after the booking? If the meeting is the start of client work, look for notes, contacts and follow-up. If it is a one-off, you do not need them.

How to set up a scheduling link in ten minutes
- Connect Google Calendar, so busy times block slots.
- Create one link per kind of meeting. A 30 minute intro and a 60 minute working session should not share a link.
- Set your hours narrow. Offer two or three blocks a week for intro calls, not your whole week.
- Add buffers and notice. 10 to 15 minutes after, and at least a day's notice for new people.
- Decide on approval. Turn it on for intro calls if you want to say yes to each one.
- Test it yourself from a phone browser and in another time zone before you share it.
- Share it where people ask. Email signature, contact page, the reply to a new lead.
Common scheduling mistakes
- Opening your whole calendar. Clients will take the hour you saved for deep work. Offer fewer blocks.
- No buffer. Back-to-back calls mean no time to write down what you promised.
- One link for everything. A workshop booked into a 30 minute slot is awkward for everyone.
- No follow-up after the booking. The link got the meeting. What you do in the next hour keeps the client. Put the promise on your to-do list before the next call starts.
